A Wonderland of Holiday Ideas
The holidays are a magical time. There’s so much to look forward to: the tasty treats, the decorative touches, and the time-honored traditions with family. To help you get ready, we’ve rounded up some spirited seasonal ideas that are easy, inexpensive, and fun—all using that powerful product you can find in any home—ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda. Want even more Baking Soda tips or details on the ideas below? Follow the links at the end of this article.

Dreaming of a White Christmas?
For a picture-perfect tree, create the effect of a light dusting of snow. Sprinkle ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda liberally over the branches. It’s pretty, safe, and even keeps the air fresh! Plus, if it falls off while taking down the tree, it’s easy to vacuum and even adds extra freshness to your carpet! Great for real or artificial trees.1

Relaxation in a Jar
Help friends and family wash away holiday stress. Give this homemade
bath soak!

Mix together 1 cup table salt, 3 cups Epsom salts, and 2 cups ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda.

To customize the colors or scents, separate the salt and Baking Soda mixture into different bowls, then add a drop of desired food coloring to each bowl, followed by 2-4 drops of scented essential oils (like lemon, lavender or peppermint). Allow the bath salts to dry for 24 hours before packaging them.

Now, dress them up! Pour into mason jars, wrap a ribbon around the jar, and tie on a label for a smart, easy, and affordable gift.2

DIY Ornaments
Customized ornaments can add warmth, uniqueness, and an extra-special touch to your tree.

Start by combining ½ cup cornstarch, 1 cup ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda, and ¾ cup water in a bowl. Next, put your mixture into a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens (about 1-2 minutes). Remove from heat. Let the clay cool in a bowl covered with a damp cloth. Now, spread the mixture with a rolling pin and cut into fun shapes with cookie cutters. Use a straw to make a hole in the top of each ornament and let them dry overnight.3
