Garbage never smells worse than it does in the summer. And in the sink, odors abound – from the drain, to the garbage disposal, to the sponges. Thankfully, during a long, hot summer, a little
ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda goes a long way.
- Deodorize Garbage Cans. Put garbage in its place. Keep unpleasant smells to a minimum by sprinkling ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda in the garbage between layers as they accumulate. Periodically wash out your garbage cans with a solution of 1 cup of ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda per 1 gallon of water.
- Deodorize Recyclables. But don’t recycle the odor. Sprinkle Baking Soda on top as you add to the container. Clean your recyclable container periodically by sprinkling Baking Soda on a damp sponge. Wipe clean and rinse.
- Deodorize Drains and Disposal. Flush down the funk. To keep lingering odors from resurfacing, just pour ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda down the drain while running warm tap water. It neutralizes both acid and basic odors for a fresh drain.
- Deodorize Sponges. Clean sponge, clean dishes. Soak stale-smelling sponges in an ARM & HAMMER® Baking Soda solution.
